Kellie martin is an American actress in television, film and stage actress. Her most famous roles include Christy Huddleston (Christy) on the drama of the same name Christy'; Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) as well as Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". She is also known for playing the title role in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Martin was born to a department store buyer and kindergarten teacher, began her career as an actress at age seven. Her aunt who worked as an nanny for Michael Landon's kids helped Martin to get her a character in the 1983's show "Father Murphy". After graduating from Yale University, she took acting more seriously and landed important roles on the smaller and large screen. Apart from being an actor, Martin is an accomplished photographer as well as a ballet dancer. Since she is a mother of two kids, she's been named the national spokesperson for Lupus. She has been spreading the word about Lupus since the time her sister's death from the illness at age 19.
